Lévy distribution in many-particle quantum systems

چکیده

The Lévy distribution, previously used to describe complex behavior of classical systems, is shown to characterize that of quantum many-body systems. Using two complimentary approaches, the canonical and grandcanonical formalisms, we discovered that the momentum profile of a Tonks-Girardeau gas—a one-dimensional gas of N impenetrable (hard-core) bosons–harmonically confined on a lattice at finite temperatures obeys a Lévy distribution. Finally, we extend our analysis to different confinement setups and demonstrate that the tunable Lévy distribution properly reproduces momentum profiles in experimentally accessible regions. Our finding allows for calibration of complex many-body quantum states by using a unique scaling exponent.

Quantum dots of CdS synthesized by micro-emulsion under ultrasound: size distribution and growth kinetics

Quantum dots of CdS with hexagonal phase were prepared at relatively low temperature (60 oC) and short time by micro-emulsion (O/W) under ultrasound. This study was focused on the particle size distribution and the growth kinetics. The particle size distribution obtained from the optical absorption edge. It was relatively symmetrical with sonication time. In addition, an agreement was observed ...

Lévy Flights over Quantum Paths

An impact of integration over the paths of the Lévy flights on the quantum mechanical kernel has been studied. Analytical expression for a free particle kernel has been obtained in terms of the Fox Hfunction. A new equation for the kernel of a partical in the box has been found. New general results include the well known quantum formulae for a free particle kernel and particle in box kernel. PA...

یک نظریه جایگزین برای مکانیک بوهمی

In this article, a causal model on the basis of trajectory is introduced for description of quantum systems. This theory is structurally very similar to Bohme mechanics, and like Bohme theory reproduces all statistical consequences of standard quantum mechanics. Particle trajectories in this model are different from anticipated ones by Bohme model. Quantum potential (force) form, which is give...

Compressive and rarefactive dust-ion acoustic solitary waves in four components ‎quantum plasma with dust-charge variation

Based on quantum hydrodynamics theory (QHD), the propagation of nonlinear quantum dust-ion acoustic (QDIA) solitary waves in a ‎collision-less, unmagnetized four component quantum plasma consisting of electrons, positrons, ions and stationary negatively charged ‎dust grains with dust charge variation is investigated using reductive perturbation method. The charging current to the dust grains ca...

The Symmetric Stable Lévy Flights and the Feynman Path Integral

We determine the solution of the fractional spatial diffusion equation in n-dimensional Euclidean space for a “free” particle by computing the corresponding propagator. We employ both the Hamiltonian and Lagrangian approaches which produce exact results for the case of jumps governed by symmetric stable Lévy flights.
